I love to see new things and meet new people. By visiting travelocity you may embark on a new adventure yourself! One of my favorite places to go and escape the stresses of college life is Walt Disney World! However, when traveling south you must have the essentials for the tropical climate. You can find everything you need from sunscreen to road maps at your local Wal-Mart.

When I don't have the opportunity to vacation or take road trips, I am quite involved with school. I am currently a senior at Marshall University, Huntington, WV. I study Speech Pathology which is supported by the American Speech-Language Association (ASHA) and I am a member of the National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association(NSSHLA).

The research I will be conducting focuses on phonological awareness and how it may impact a child's early reading abilities.

This week was another hectic week of course! So many things to do and so little time, sometimes I feel like I am just chasing my tale. I did take time to reflect on this week and think about how this class is progressing. I really enjoyed the MOO session on Wednesday, I was kind of nervous about the meeting because I didn’t think I would be there on time. I think I ended up logging on ten minutes before class, I just knew something was going to go wrong but it didn’t and everything went very smoothly. I didn’t know how we would do the groups but it worked out good and I feel like we had a good discussion. I also wanted to comment on my joining a professional mailing list this week. The address I was given to mail my subscription had been changed a couple of years ago and Wayne Smith, Technical Coordinator from the University of Maine, emailed me and gave me the new address. This made me feel good that a complete stranger would be so helpful in my cyber dilemma. You were right Ms. McComas you can meet some very helpful people in cyberspace. I enjoyed this week’s assignments because I was able to learn about my own learning, which is something that I haven’t really thought about before.
I have always wanted to be able to design my own webpage and now I am getting the opportunity to do so. It appears as if it would be very complicated but it really isn't bad. You have to be very precise, of course when entering information but I think it is really neat. I am excited to see what my final webliography will look like but I feel I am off to a good start.

These are my scores from the VARK. I have always felt that I was a visual learner because I would watch people do things and then go try it myself. Therefore, these results were not surprising to me. I feel that the results were very accurate for me because I don't do as well when I don't have a mental picture of what I should be doing. This was a fun activity I enjoyed it!
