Journal week 12

Well, I must say I am glad we are closer to the end of the tunnel. This week's assignments actually made me think about what we have been doing all semester. By looking back at our peer reviews I was able to think "out of the box" and reflect on how I reviewed my peers work and notice the importance of a peer review. Every writer can always do something to make their work better and by having someone else have their input on it can make it better. By looking back at all of the writing and research I've done this semester I think to myself, man I did all this work and it is hard for me to believe but it makes me proud to know that it is mine, with the help of some outstanding researchers:).
I have decided to arrange my work in a way where it will all be easily accessible to the viewers from the home page. This way one surfing the net will be able to access my genres from the main page of my web log. I still want to change the colors of my blog I guess I will have to figure that out this week. However, with all work aside, I am looking forward to Thanksgiving break, only wish it could be longer :), and I would like to wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Be careful on the holiday . . .don’t shop too much girls!!

Week 12- Journal

This week’s assignments were very enjoyable to me. I liked writing the Preface and About the Author particularly because I was able to set back and think about my feelings throughout the course. When writing my preface I asked myself questions like how the project began and impacted me. I thoroughly enjoyed the About the Author because I wrote a Bio Poem about myself and it may appear easy but it took me a while to think about my fears, needs, wants and so on. Sometimes I think it is hard to describe your own self and by writing the Bio Poem I feel I understand a little more about me. I feel this assignment was a break from all the usual genres. I am very excited to wrap up all of my work and move on. This week when I was tweaking my blog, I glanced through the many writings I have compiled all through the semester and I can’t believe I did all that work! It is amazing to me the amount of time and writing that has been put into this course. I must say I am very happy that it is almost over.

We did have the opportunity to meet on the MOO this week, I liked reading all of the comments while adding a couple of my own. This week’s MOO session seemed to be very laid back and informal, I thought it was fun.

Online Journal- Week 11

I would like to begin my journal by saying the meeting we had last Wednesday was well needed and very appropriate. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, conversation, and food of course. The meeting answered some questions for me personally and I think it helped others as well. It was a good experience and I am glad I had the opportunity to participate.
I must admit that I am very excited for the end of this semester. I have been waiting for the “twinkle of light” at the end of the tunnel for some time now. This week I constructed my most challenging genre yet, or maybe I just felt like it was the toughest because I had to tie all of my genres together. I found this rather difficult because all of my genres are focused on the same subject but several of them look at the topic in very different ways. Initially, I thought I would write a story to combine my writings but after thinking some more I changed my mind. I thought taking excerpts from a personal journal of the clinician’s would be a great way to unify my works. By taking this approach I was able to show a personal side of the clinician showing her thoughts about her day and her job. I was pleased with my unifying genre and I am excited to see how my peers review it. Now, having the last genre off my shoulders I do think things will get less stressful, or so I hope.
I am looking forward to pulling all of my research together to have a complete final project. I have been working hard and I am excited to see the finished product.
